Kit Lesson 2: The Water Cycle Modeling Land and Water
Through the water cycle, water in all three states (due to earth moderate temperature ranges), move from one place to another. Water moves into the air, condenses and returns to earth as precipitation. Models of stream formation show basic changes in land caused by flowing water and changes in water caused by eroded land. The state of water is dependent on energy of the water molecules. More precipitation occurs over land while evaporation is greater over the oceans.
